Distribution of Grant Awards will be in NOVEMBER and
DECEMBER.
The Foundation will be launching a fund raising effort in fall with
the intent of adding to the number of grants to our local teachers.
Fundraising mailings will publicize our Motto, Mission, and
Message to the entire Watertown community so that more grant
monies will be available.
The intent of the Educational Foundation of Watertown is to give
financial aid to teachers, both public and private, which will enable
them to benefit the students by supplementing a classroom need,
technology, or unique project.
We acknowledge the fact that monies are not readily available in
today’s economic climate. Our present budget allows us to fund
requests up to $1000. Our hope is that we will be able to match
applications with available funding to allow the Foundation to
reward a larger number of teachers and impact more classrooms.
Highest consideration is given to applications indicating both
continuing value and multi-year student participation. We do look
at uniqueness of student learning activities but also want to benefit
more than just a “single” group of students.
